My baby boo |
Semester breaks are fantastic. I am not quite a wanderlust yet, yes, financial isuues, so I stayed at home all day and I decided to make things interesting (no money needed), since every bit of my money was spent on beer and food.
One evening, the sky was okay and the weather was just right, I grabbed my toy poodle, Mimi and my big ass DSLR camera and headed straight to the nearest playground. Mimi looked weird. She was probably thinking:"Where are we going lady," but she just followed. I avoided the path where stray dogs lurked and planted her on the pavement. I told her to follow me and we are gonna do something awesome. She tilted her head and followed. And we reached the playground, thank God there wereno one or she will be freaking out/barking the hell out. (She has issues with strangers and stray dogs)
See. She was obviously not enjoying being a Tarzan. |
First stop: The swing.
I asked her whether she wanted to be Tarzan. She seemed perplexed. I laughed and placed her on the swing. The photo on the swing was a total failure. She looked like she was tortured or stuck or something. Back at home I showed my mom this photo and my mom rolled her eyes. It's not that bad, eh?
The slide is slightly tilted to the left. |
Hi baby. |
Second stop: The slide set.
Me:"LOOK HERE MIMI LOOK HERE" as she was turning heads left and right. I squatted and sat and did everything to make that shot perfect. She stayed there quietly with her eyes squinted. Then I placed her here and there but away from the shrubs and weeds as there might be ticks.
Okay. Now this poodle looked happy. |
This shot is the hardest of all. |
The photo of her at the end of the green slide was my favourite. But my pose to take that photo was super awkward (plus a little obscene.) My butt was literally stuck at the start of the slide and I have to try to move inside and at the same time preventing myself from sliding off or crashing my baby camera. God bless I didn't.
Say cheese. :) |
Third stop: The springed horse/ the rocking horse/ the rocking camel
She enjoyed it, that's all I have to say.
Oh hey gorgeous. Looking great. |
I carried her, kissed her on her head and told her that she did great. Then I was thinking about worst case scenarios. What if I left part of my camera there. What if she fell off my arm. What if she caught some ticks. And when I finally reached home, I remembered her I left her leash back there. Well at least better than part of my camera.
I named my project Poodlegenic because she looked just as perfect as she is in those photos.
That is a wrap! I put her near the curb for a photo. She struggled and asked for me to carry her. I told her this was the last photo and she somehow wagged her tail. |
